Policies and important information

General Policies
  • Parents must download, sign and bring the waiver of liability to the first day of class.

  • Please, no cell phones in class

  • No use of cameras or videos may be used at anytime during class.

  • Infant siblings may be brought to adult participation classes in a bjorn or a snuggly. Older siblings will not be allowed into class unless registered in class.

  • CKD will not be responsible for lost or stolen items.

  • All strollers should be stowed in the stroller parking area in the lobby.

  • No food, drinks, or gum in classrooms.

  • Please do not bring your child to class if they are showing any signs of illness including a runny nose, cough or fever. CKD reserves the right to deny a sick child participation in classes.

  • Caregivers or parents are required to fully participate in caregiver/child classes. If you are not able to participate because of sickness or injury please refrain from coming to class.

Refunds and make up classes

Students may receive a full refund, less a $25 cancellation fee and the cost of classes that have taken place, prior to the end of the first week of the semester or the after the first week of attendance( if pro-rated). Should you choose to take a CKD credit, the cancellation fee will be waived. No refunds or credits will be given after the first week of the semester for any reason. Refund requests must be submitted in writing and must include the child's name, the adult's name, and the details of the program being cancelled.

Make up classes are permitted when available. There are no refunds for missed classes for any reason.


Cancellation of classes due to Acts of God • An Act of God is defined is a legal term for events outside of human control, such as sudden floods, pandemics or other natural disasters and events, for which no one can be held responsible. This also includes weather issues such as snow, ice, floods etc. • The school may be forced to cancel classes do to an act of god and in this case it is not liable for any loss resulting to the student as a result of this cancelled class. • The school will make all reasonable effort to replace a cancelled class by arranging an alternative date but this cannot be guaranteed. • The school does not refund students for cancelled classes due to acts of god. 

Dress code

Parent & Child classes: Comfortable clothes to move in. Bare feet for all walking children. No socks allowed due to slipping danger.


Creative Ballet: Girls-Leotard and footless tights. Boys- t-shirt and shorts/stretchy pants. Bare feet or ballet slippers.  No socks or footed tights allowed without ballet slippers.


Broadway Dance/tap/jazz classes: Same as Creative Ballet or Jazz pants and fitted top. Jazz shoes and/or tap shoes.


- No dangling earrings or jewelry

- No Tutus or head pieces

- No street clothes or shoes
